:Got invited to participate in the Z Club booth at Autorama 2005 coming up on Feb 11-13. :Had to dust'er off and start cleaning up. So far I've spent about 12 hours just on the exterior paint alone and I'm only about halfway through. :So far the following steps have been done: : :- High speed polishing with 3M PerfectIt II to get out some swirl marks that have built up over the years. I went out and bought a Milwaukee variable rpm polisher that goes up to 1750rpm. Used a foam eggcrate pad and it worked out very nicely.
: - Spot cleaning with microfiber and ClearKote Quickshine (this stuff is so awesome)
: - Application of Klasse AIO as a base coat
: - Re-clean with Quickshine
: - Application of Klasse SuperGlaze...cured 24 hours
: - Quickshine
: - 2nd Application of Klasse SuperGlaze... polished off after car was done
: - Quickshine
:Results so far (in my garage) : : : :This will be followed by another coat of Klasse Superglaze and then 2 coats of S100. :After that I start on the engine and then on the interior, followed by jacking the car up, removing all the wheels and exhaust and then going crazy on the underbody. :Yikes, I forgot how much work this is ;-) :
